About

The Role

As our list of customers grows, we need an experienced digital designer to lay the plans for our customizable towers. You will create 3D designs, maps, and objects per specifications. You will report to the Director of Sustainability and work closely with the Design Technology Manager. The Energy Vault team will leverage all digital model data for testing, simulating and analysis efforts.

Your

Responsibilities

  • Create 3D designs from 2D Floor Plans 
  • Import 3D designs into rendering programs 
  • Create animation showing the operation of the system
  • Add objects as necessary to complete the design per specifications  
  • Edit objects as necessary to fulfill the intent of the design 
  • Add maps and textures and manipulate same to achieve desired results 
  • Create and add direct and ambient lighting  
  • Create camera views per best practices 
  • Set up renderer settings and render camera views 
  • Export rendered views to photoshop for further enhancement 
  • Record contemporaneous time keeping of all activities. 
  • Submit interim files to supervisor for approval per schedule. 
  • Collaborate with team throughout process 
  • Maintain texture and map and object files 
  • Create 2D and 3D object files 
  • Generate Solid and Surface CAD models using Revit
  • Prepare architectural working plans, detail CAD 2D CAD drawings, schematics, dimensional representations, and as-built records using computer-aided utilizing measuring and scanning devices/tools.
Qualified

Candidate will possess

  • 3-5 years’ experience with Architectural Design and Rendering 
  • Proficiency with Autodesk Revit, Catia, 3DS Max, or Maya, and Photoshop 
  • An extensive portfolio for review 
  • Knowledge of operation of standard office equipment
  • Familiarity with administrative procedures and systems such as filing and record-keeping
  • Ability to analyze and problem-solve while working in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication skills - written and verbal 
  • Good judgment and ability to assess and solve problems
  • Capability to prioritize, organize, show attention to detail, and achieve accuracy
  • Savviness gathering and monitoring information 
  • Flexibility, adaptability, and an orientation towards customer service and teamwork
