About

The Role

As BIM Manager at Energy Vault, you will lead the company’s digital design and integration practice. You will be a critical team member responsible for developing and maintaining the digital design tools that facilitate interdisciplinary collaboration. A great listener, you possess the capacity to understand needs for various phases of the project, setting up workflows and attainable goals with emphasis on interoperability and testing. We deeply value all digital model data for testing, simulating and analysis efforts and will leverage your work for our core products.

As our organization grows, you will be responsible for recruiting, training, and developing a stellar team. You will automate processes and find solutions to the complex problems relating to design and technology.

Your

Responsibilities

  • Develop systems and standards based on interactions and process knowledge with industry partners using BIM-VDC.
  • Understanding, leveraging, and solving interoperability scopes.
  • Promote Energy Vault’s goal of using gravity energy storage to enable adoption of renewable energy as a baseload power source.
  • Work with the Engineers at EV to understand the product development, design, and execution cycle and apply that understanding to BIM tool applications for each phase.
  • Manage the federated building models consisting of design team models, subcontractor component models, and in-house generated component models.
  • Creation of digital models and architectural drawings with direction from engineer lead.
  • Coordinate with the design-build project team to assist in the management of model production.
  • Manage file-sharing/coordination software.
  • Research and evaluate current and emerging digital technologies.
  • Assist with researching code compliance, regulatory agency needs.
  • Develop 3D models, families, and renderings for project needs.
  • Utilize working knowledge of codes and building standards.
Qualified

Candidate will possess

  • Bachelor Degree in Architecture or Engineering; Master Degree preferred.
  • 5+ years’ experience in BIM on large scale projects.
  • High proficiency in Building Information Modeling platforms.
  • Fluency in the Autodesk brand of products with emphasis on cloud-based applications such as Autodesk Build and its corresponding modules.
  • Prowess with app development, scripting and workflow automation to meet specific design and business goals.
  • Broad proficiency in design software: Revit, Rhino, SketchUp.
  • Robust knowledge of delivering coordinated and complete design docs, project deliverables, and digital model data.
  • High level of understanding or interoperability among platforms within the design, construction, and operations systems.
  • Ability to work and thrive in a fast-paced environment, independently or as part of a team.
  • Stellar communication and organizational skills.
  • Skill with multidisciplinary coordination and communication with guidance from Studio leader.
  • Innate motivation with excellent management and organization skills.
  • Familiarity with Strength Finding and utilizing this to foster team’s capabilities.
  • Deep understanding of project delivery systems, interdisciplinary collaboration and the workings of design construction and operations.
