About

The Role

As Manager, Procurement, you will manage relationships with suppliers, from initial outreach and selection through purchasing and delivery of key components for our towers. Leveraging your engineering background, you will also collaborate regularly with your technical colleagues at Energy Vault to understand our energy storage systems and requirements. You will also utilize your knowledge of industry trends and patterns for commodities and more specialized parts and machinery.

you will do

  • Perform research on our company, product, industry, partners, stakeholders, and suppliers.
  • With your understanding of technical requirements, search out, vet, establish, and maintain relationships with suppliers throughout our scaling up in production.
  • Travel to the supplier locations frequently, to the USA headquarters in Westlake Village, CA infrequently, and international travel occasionally where appropriate; total travel up to 60%.

Qualified

Candidate should possess

  • BS in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related; MS preferred.
  • 7+ years of relevant experience, preferably in industrial construction, utilities, energy, or similar.
  • Comfort building processes from scratch and improving existing ones.
  • Shrewd negotiation skills and keen ability to balance cost savings with relationship management.
  • Solid understanding of design to costs, innovative ideas, and long-term cooperation.
  • A passion for carbon neutrality by 2050.
